Client/Owner: Walsh Construction Company, Illinois DOT

Kapur & Associates provided construction layout services for the total reconstruction of 5 miles of Northbound and Southbound IH 90/94 from 31st Street to 71st Street in Chicago, Illinois. This $145 Million Project was completed within an aggressive 8-month construction schedule. Our scope of services included layout of over 350,000 LF of paving lines, 600 storm structures, 28 jacking pits, traffic control, retaining wall, temporary soil retention, final cross sections, drop shaft retrofit/reconstruction, and 6 temporary bridges. Kapur & Associates also provided various services in support of 3D machine control grading including GPS site calibration and 3D surface model preparation.
