Marquette Interchange Core Oversight

Provided survey services for the planning and design of the Marquette Interchange reconstruction project. Services included topographical surveys, property surveys, control surveys and right of way platting.
Construction began in the fall of 2004 on the North Leg of the interchange. The work consisted of 43,000 LF of roadway, 10 new bridges, 27 new retaining walls, as well as storm sewer, watermain, combined sewer and many other items. The creation of 3D surface models and the use of GPS technology allowed for 3D machine control for earthwork and base course placement, minimizing the need for subgrade and base staking.
