Construction Management Projects
USH 41 -
Lake Butte des Morts
Oshkosh, WI
This project -- part of the expansion and improvement of 31 miles of USH 41 in Brown and Winnebago Counties -- involved widening the west side of the causeway across Lake Butte des Morts to accommodate the expansion of US 41 from 4 to 8 lanes. This project included preliminary grading for the reconstruction of the US 41/US 45 interchange beginning in Fall 2010. To accommodate the new interchange, Lake Butte des Morts Drive is being realigned and rerouted via a new overpass over US 41.
Kapur provided overall administration of the contract along with inspection, material testing, survey verification, erosion control compliance, traffic control compliance, public relations, utility coordination, measurements, contract change orders, ARRA recordkeeping and estimates for this complex, major construction project involving high traffic volumes and work under traffic both day and night.
Because Lake Butte des Morts is a unique natural resource, Kapur was involved in coordination with the WDNR, US Army Corps of Engineers, and local government.
