Development Projects

Northwestern Mutual Franklin Campus

Franklin, WI

84-acre site at the northwest corner of South 27th Street and West Drexel Avenue.

Phase I of the development included a parking structure and a 550,000 sq. ft. office building with occupancy for 800 employees.

Phase II included a second parking structure and a new 350,000 sq. ft. office building for an additional 1,100 employees.

The civil engineering plans and specifications included site demolition, paving, grading, sanitary sewer, water main, erosion control, loop roadway design, traffic signing, pavement marking, storm water management, off-site roadway and intersection improvements, agency coordination, utility coordination, and TRANS 233 coordination.

Reflecting a phased construction approach, the Phase I design plans had to consider future site expansion. Detention ponds, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and watermain were designed with additional capacity to accommodate future construction.
