This project is a land re-use development replacing the existing nearby store site. This 7-acre development holds a 63,000 sq. ft. building, wetlands, a pond, and parking for over 300 vehicles. The new location is much larger and allows for greater access to northern West Bend via improved access to STH 33.
An existing Applebee’s Restaurant was attached to the SE corner, the low point of that intersection quadrant. Since all ditching was removed and curb & gutter with storm sewer added, the new site had to be raised to drain correctly. With the grade changes, a great amount of retaining wall was added around the Applebee’s parking lot and new pond. All of the Applebee’s site features had to be maintained or improved upon; landscaping, parking, and lighting had to stay undisturbed, and access to this portion of the site needed to remain open.
