The Harley Davidson Motor Company Big Twin Expansion included multiple building additions and parking lot expansions.
To accommodate new construction, proposed and existing parking lots were brought up to new landscape standards. A complete inventory within the project limits was created to show the location of existing trees and describe the species, size, and condition, as required by city ordinance. New landscaping incorporated extensive screening along the frontage road bordering the parking lots, as well as internal islands designed to coincide with existing plantings. Existing underground utilities played a role in determining the location of several new trees on the site.
Also included were foundation plantings and coordination with the municipality to facilitate the approval process.
