Kapur has provided design and construction management services for Greenfield pavement maintenance projects since 2006. Greenfield is challenged with original street layouts designed for rural use in what is now a thriving urban center. Every portion of these roads varies -- from roadway and lane widths, curbed or shouldered streets, sidewalk widths, utility issues, and substandard ditching and drainage.
Kapur has aided the City in taking a proactive approach, recognizing the need to balance infrastructure improvements while maintaining the high standard of living and small town feel.
The common techniques used to improve these roadways include: mill and overlay, pulverize and relay, and asphalt base patching, with additions of curb & gutter, storm sewer, sidewalk, mutli-use trails, streetscaping and ditching. Commonly maintained items such as signage, signals, traffic loops, and lighting are replaced during construction. Finally, necessary landscaping or restoration along the project limits is completed with a final walkthrough.
