Martin Drive Extension
Fredonia, WI
Kapur & Associates worked closely with the Village of Fredonia, village engineers, WDNR, and US ACOE to create a plan for the development of a second east-to-west roadway corridor to reduce traffic congestion and provide a secondary corridor for emergency vehicles.
This roadway extension spanned a large wetland complex and a fresh water fishery. Kapur provided habitat analysis of the project area to produce a design that included relocating and restoring a portion of the creek and wetland enhancements along the riparian corridor.
Acquired Chapter 30 permits for stream relocation, grading and a bridge, as well as the NR103 Water Quality Certification for the nearly 0.20 acre of wetland impacts.
