IH-94 North-South Corridor

Kenosha County, WI

This project involves the replacement of all existing bridges in Kenosha County along the I-94 corridor. A total of 16 bridges are to be reconstructed to accommodate additional lanes. All new bridges have pre-stressed girders, ranging in sizes from 36-inches to 54-inches deep, and most are constructed as multiple two to three spans that range from approximately 90 feet to 130 feet. Piers are constructed in a four multi-column arrangement, include decorative facing, and are supported by individual column pile caps. Wisconsin standard Abutment Type A1 was used for all the bridges with appropriate wing walls, meeting the project's Community Sensitive Design criteria.
