IH 94 North-South Kenosha County
State Line to CTH KR - Kenosha, WI
Kapur & Associates provided WisDOT with the final design -- 11 plans, specifications and estimates -- for the IH-94 North-South Project.
Our PS&E packages were in southern Kenosha County, a 12-mile section from 1/4 of a mile south of the State Line (Russell Road) to the Racine/Kenosha County Line CTH KR. A 4.5-mile mainline segment was advanced due to ARRA funding, and highway reconstruction plans for $60 million of the ARRA funded project were submitted within 120 days.
The work entailed design requirements for 5 mainline Gap sections, 9 segments of frontage roads, 10 bridges, 15 sign bridges, 7 retaining walls, as well as assisting WisDOT with the COE 404 Permit, preparing 11 construction bid documents, coordinating with various corridor teams, creating final structure plans, and completing traffic control/construction staging plans.
